    " It's Magic!" is the theme for this year's festival. Enjoy the displays, discussions and demonstrations.

  • After lunch visit Stratford's Antique Warehouse. Over 20,000 square feet of antiques and collectibles under one roof!
  • Or shop in Stratford's Victorian city centre with unique stores and independent book shops.

Bring your camera to record the sites and the fun you'll have on this tour as you see the city and see yourself in costume.

  • Step-on guided tour of Stratford
    Introduce your group to Stratford with a 90-minute tour including historical sites, parkland, residential areas and theatres. Stops at the Shakespearean Gardens and Confederation Park complete the tour.
  • Costume Warehouse Tour
    Visit one of the three largest costume warehouses in the world! With over 50,000 costumes and props, your imagination will take you away. Be sure to bring your camera to take some photos of your friends in costume!

  • Lunch at one of Stratford's restaurants. Set your group free to choose and explore the shops as well.

Visual arts are exploding in Stratford with many private studios, galleries and shops.

  • Gallery Stratford
    Meet your docent who will introduce you to the current art exhibit at this regional art gallery housed in the original waterworks building surrounded by beautiful gardens and parks.
  • Art in the Park
    Along the banks of the Avon River you can see the work of many area artists in an outdoor, juried exhibit and sale. (Wed., Sat. & Sun)

    If you can't draw yourself away from the park for lunch in one of Stratford's remarkable restaurants, order a picnic and soak up the beauty.

  • Gallery 96
    This co-operative gallery has been in existence for many years showcasing the work of area artists. It is located in the Discovery Centre, a heritage property across from the entrance to the Festival Theatre.
  • Private gallery/studio tour
    Visit the private galleries in the city centre and throughout the city. Canadian Indigenous art, pottery, woodcuts and multi-media are some of the work you will see. You are sure to be impressed and find a treasure to take home.

    Add a 50-minute performance by Stratford Festival artists of song, dance and the spoken word to your itinerary. This 30's and 40's repertoire is sure to please.

    The jewel in the crown of Stratford's public garden is hidden away next to the Perth County Court House. Find flowers growing that are named in Shakespeare's plays.
  • Confederation Park and Millennium Park
    These beautiful gardens provide a respite from a busy life at home. Sit by the waterfall in Confederation Park before walking among the fountains in Millennium Park.

    Select a restaurant to suit your taste Indian, Tapas, Italian or French.

  • McCully's Hill Farm
    Tour the farm and woodlot on a horse-drawn wagon ride. Visit the farm market for local maple products, fruits, vegetables and naturally raised meats.

  • Lunch
    Continue along the road to St. Marys where you will find some great stops for lunch.

  • The Best Little Pork Shoppe
    Now its off to Shakespeare, just east of Stratford, where you can shop for animal curios and great local food products. Ask to meet the fainting goats!
  • Birtch Farms & Estate Winery
    Head south to this country fruit winery featuring various styles, only 20 minutes from Shakespeare. Tour the facility. Sample wines and shop the market.
  • Dinner
    Return to Stratford for dinner at the restaurant of your choice.

Black Hats and Red Walls

Meet your guide and explore Mennonite heritage in Perth County.

  • Mennonite Information Centre
    Our first stop is in Millbank where a 40 minute video is presented followed by Q&A period. Discover why some Amish and Mennonites still drive horse and buggies, use distinctive styles of clothes and worship in their homes.
  • Lunch at a Mennonite restaurant offers a country meal with pies and breads baked fresh daily.

After lunch explore this small community where the hardware store and grocery store reflect an earlier time.

  • Country Quilts and Crafts
    Visit a Mennonite farm where you are welcomed into the farmhouse and quilts are made and sold. This is a cherished tradition passed down through the generations.
  • Harness Maker's shop
    Here a Mennonite family makes horse harnesses that are shipped to destinations around the world.

Return to Stratford in time for dinner and a theatre performance.
